Rock the Boat activities run the Paddlesport Leader Award, an award that aims to enable paddlers to take on formal leadership roles in sheltered water meeting the groups needs and objectives and ensuring a safe trip for participants.
This award will qualify you to lead, supervise or help on different trips, such as with clubs or schools, or social trips. It is recommended a Paddlesport Leader will look after 8 boats, or 6 if the craft is an open canoe, with no more than 12 people.
As a British Canoeing Paddlesport Leader Provider the training course that we offer is a 2 day course which encompasses the leadership skills required for the assessment along side your personal skills and safety and rescue skills. You will get an action plan appropriate to successful completion of the assessment.
We can also offer a more bespoke training course for you and/or groups needs.
