In order to ensure that employees are safe and protected in the event of an accident or medical emergency in the workplace, it is necessary to conduct a thorough risk assessment. If the assessment indicates a need for a First Aider in the Workplace, then this three-day qualification is designed to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the role to the highest standard.

By completing this course, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of first aid practices and procedures, and will be fully equipped to handle an emergency situation in most work places. The qualification is fully compliant with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982, ensuring that the workplace is fully prepared and compliant with all relevant legislation

A minimum of 6 contact hours.

Ideally, the course should be completed in one day. However, we can adjust the schedule to meet your specific requirements as long as it is completed within 4 weeks of starting the course.

Up to a maximum of 12 students can be accommodated in the course, provided they are at least 14 years old. Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate can be awarded to all students, subject to assessment. If you require more participants on one day, please contact us to arrange a quote, as multiple instructors will be required.

It’s important to note that a student must be at least 16 years old to take on any workplace responsibilities. In such cases, it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that the student is suitable for the role. The certificate’s validity will expire on the date specified, regardless of the certificate holder’s age.
