Enrol in our comprehensive Outdoor First Aid course to equip your team with life-saving skills. Our experienced instructors will cover First Aid Equipment, Assessment of the situation, Control of bleeding, and more. This course fulfils the requirements of the First Aid element of the expedition syllabus, and it is suitable for the Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards.

Complience

This course meets the First Aid requirements of the expedition syllabus and is appropriate for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards.

It contains enough material to satisfy the HSE’s Emergency First Aid at Work requirements. If requested, an extra certificate can be provided by the course instructor to demonstrate this to an employer, with additional fees that may apply.

The instructor will conduct ongoing practical assessments daily, along with a written assessment. Upon successful evaluation, the learner will receive a Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid valid for three years. No external assessors are required, and a variety of methods, including practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice), will be used.

Duration

A minimum of 16 hours should be spread over at least two days.

Ideally, the course should be conducted for three consecutive days. However, we can adjust the schedule to meet your specific requirements as long as it is completed within 10 weeks of starting the course.

Numbers

Up to a maximum of 12 students can be accommodated in the course, provided they are at least 16 years old. Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate can be awarded to all students, subject to assessment. If you require more participants on one day, please contact us to arrange a quote, as multiple instructors will be required.

It’s important to note that a student must be at least 16 years old to take on any workplace responsibilities. In such cases, it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that the student is suitable for the role. The certificate’s validity will expire on the date specified, regardless of the certificate holder’s age.
