We will provide you with essential travel skills, teach you how to navigate smoothly through your chosen craft and equip you with the necessary gear and equipment to make your trip comfortable and memorable.

Canoeing
The RTBA Gold Canoeing DofE package includes:
- Route planning session/s
- 3 day, 2 night Practice Expedition, this includes:
Paddlesports skills training, water rescue skills, map reading and OS map familiarisation, meal planning, basic first aid, emergency action plans, practical navigation training, equipment familiarisation and kit checks
- 3 day, 2 night Assessed Expedition + Assessor reporting
- Campsite fees
- Transportation of equipment too and from start and finish points.
- Staff: a minimum of 2 supervisors at all times. Further to that, a minimum ratio of 1:12 for expeditions and training days.

All Rock The Boat staff are Certified by British Canoeing for the paddlesports activity they provide and have also completed our in-house training & sign-off.
Walking
The RTBA Silver DofE package includes:
- 3 day, 2 night Practice Expedition, this includes:
Map reading skills, OS Map familiarisation, meal planning, basic first aid training, trekking training, emergency action plans, practical navigation training, equipment familiarisation and backpack fitting and packing technique workshop and Route planning session/s
- 3 day, 2 night Assessed Expedition + Assessor reporting
- Campsite fees
- Transportation of equipment too and from start and finish points.
- Staff: a minimum of 2 supervisors at all times. Further to that, a minimum ratio of 1:12 for expeditions and training days.
