Compliance
In order to ensure that employees are safe and protected in the event of an accident or medical emergency in the workplace, it is necessary to conduct a thorough risk assessment. If the assessment indicates a need for a First Aider in the Workplace, this three-day qualification is designed to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the role to the highest standard.
By completing this course, participants will understand first aid practices and procedures and be fully equipped to handle an emergency in most workplaces. The qualification is fully compliant with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982, ensuring that the workplace is fully prepared and compliant with all relevant legislation

Duration
A minimum of 6 contact hours.
Ideally, the course should be completed in one day. However, we can adjust the schedule to meet your specific requirements as long as it is completed within 4 weeks of starting the course.

Numbers
Up to 12 students can be accommodated in the course, provided they are at least 14 years old. Upon completing the course, all students will receive a certificate, subject to assessment. If you require more participants in one day, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us to arrange a quote, as multiple instructors will be required.
It’s important to note that a student must be at least 16 years old to take on any workplace responsibilities. In such cases, the employer must ensure that the student is suitable for the role. The certificate’s validity will expire on the specified date, regardless of the holder’s age.
