The BCAB White Water Leader Training course is a comprehensive training program for individuals interested in leading white water activities. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively lead groups in whitewater environments by covering essential topics, including safety protocols, technical skills, leadership and group management, risk assessment, environmental awareness, and navigation.

Pre-Requisite
Due to the paddling environment and the boat control required to participate in the BCAB White Water Leader Training course, candidates should be:
- Confident in their ability to paddle on grade 2/3 water
- Confident swimming in normal paddling clothing suitable for a moving water environment
- White Water Safety Training Course
- Age 16+
- Full National Association Membership
What’s Included:
- Highly experienced delivery team

- Two days of content in a safe and fun learning environment.
What You Need to Bring:
- Your Own Kayak (unless agreed to hire)
- Personal paddling clothing and equipment including suitable footwear for on the water, Buoyancy Aid and Helmet
- Lunch and Drink for both days
Recommended safety equipment:
- Throwline
- Webbing (sewn or un-sewn sling) and large carabiner
- Whistle
- Knife
Furthermore, the BCAB White Water Leader Training award is used by clubs, outdoor centres and organisations to support their white water journeys on grade 2/3 rivers.
