Complience
This course meets the expedition syllabus’s First Aid requirements and is appropriate for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards.
It contains enough material to satisfy the requirements of the HSE’s Emergency First Aid at Work. If requested, the course instructor can provide an extra certificate to demonstrate this to an employer, an additional fee may apply.
The instructor will conduct daily practical assessments and a written assessment. Upon successful evaluation, the learner will receive an FAA Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid, valid for three years. No external assessors are required, and various methods, including practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice), will be used.
Duration
A minimum of 16 hours should be spread over at least two days.
