About
This course will teach you a step by step process from correctly fitting equipment, setting up your Board, getting on the water, moving the craft confidently and finding suitable paddling locations.
Our sessions will follow Paddle UK paddle awards to help build you skills to be able to enjoy a lifetime of enjoyment on the water.
Once you’ve hit the water with one of our professional coaches they’ll run through essential fundamental techniques to manoeuvring your craft. We’ll cover:
– Standing position and connectivity
– Paddle techniques
– Equipment choice
– Paddling with the environment
These sessions are for everybody looking to develop paddleboarding skills in a sheltered water environment. Brand new or just want to polish up some skills? This session is right for you.

Location:
We are basing our courses out of Totnes, on the River Dart. However due to tides and weather conditions this may move to another suitable location locally.
Minimum Number and Water Levels:
All of our river skills courses require a minimum number to run. When in natural river environments, the course may be moved location or postponed if we do not have the correct conditions.
Courses being run on man-made venues do not include your water fees in the booking cost.
